In the field of metrology, Montenegro achieved a high rating, which is above the OECD average, it was announced at the seminar of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) where the preliminary results of regional findings about development of small and medium-sized enterprises were presented.

The seminar entitled SME Policy Index 2022: Western Balkans and Turkey – Presentation of preliminary regional findings, attended by the Assistant Director of the Bureau of Metrology, Zoran Ćetković, was organized on 3 March 2022.

It was concluded at the seminar that Montenegro is the leader in the region in terms of development of the domain of small and medium-sized enterprises, which, as emphasized, greatly contribute to the development of the economy.

The lecturers at the seminar were foreign experts who run the mentioned project, while the seminar was attended by representatives of the public sector institutions of the Western Balkan countries and Turkey.

The SME Index was developed by the OECD in 2006 in partnership with the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Training Foundation (ETF).
