Section for International Cooperation carries out tasks related to:

  • Carrying out activities related to representing Montenegro before international and regional metrology organizations – European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET), International Organization for Legal Metrology (OIML), European Cooperation In Legal Metrology (WELMEC), International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), International Association of Assay Offices (IAAO), as well as the participation in their work;
  • Bilateral and regional cooperation with international institutions in Montenegro;
  • Participating in the work of international institutions in Montenegro in the field of metrology and precious metals;
  • Preparation and participation in international conferences, seminars, committees in the field of metrology and precious metals;
  • Preparing and drafting all kinds of documents required for the purposes of establishing and maintaining cooperation of the Bureau with international and regional metrology organizations;
  • Translating all relevant documents;
  • Promotion and use of international programs and funds aimed at building capacity in the field of metrology and precious metals but also of the Bureau as a state authority;
  • Monitoring standards in the implementation of national policies and their adjustement to the internatiopnal standards in the field of metrology;
  • Preparing and submitting information to other government and international institutions;
  • Activities carried out as part of international and regional projects in the field of metrology and precious metals, as well as activities related to Montenegro’s accession to the EU;
  • Monitoring implementation of projects funded by international, regional, bilateral donor organizations;
  • Keeping records on participation and realization of international and regional projects;
  • Preparing and drafting all types of plans, analysis, surveys and strategies related to cooperation with government and science institutions aimed at developing metrology;
  • Planning and conducting internal education of civil servants and state employees in the field of metrology, quality system and project management in order to ensure continuous professional education of employees;
  • Preparing and producing all sorts of informative and documentary materials, publications, brochures, marketing materials, scholarly and reference literature and other materials;
  • Carrying out other activities in accordance with the regulations.
