Within the activities of EURAMET-WELMEC Focus Group on Facilitating National Metrology Infrastructure Development, 19 and 20 November 2015 in Serbia was held training on the distribution of time and frequency.
Different requests by users in terms of time accuracy condition application of different methods for the time distribution. The training is aimed to provide information about the importance of the distribution of time and ways to distribute timing information. It also gives a brief overview of the role of the national metrology institutes in the distribution of time in the territory of a state.
The training was held in the premises of the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM). Participants had the opportunity to visit the Laboratory for time at the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals and thus get acquainted with the implementation of public and restrictive distribution of time in the territory of the Republic of Serbia through the Internet and leased lines.
The training was attended by representatives of the Bureau of Metrology, Milan Perović and Rabina Šabotić, as well as representatives of the national metrology institute of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatian and Ireland.
