Tasks of the Section for measuring instruments intended for use in the protection of human and animal health and of general safety and security<\/strong> include conduct of administrative proceedings related to verification of measurement instruments which, based on a specific regulation, are subject to obligatory verification and\/or type approval, which are used in the protection of human and animal health and of general safety and security, as well as activities in the area pertaining to:<\/p>\n

  • provision of expert opinion and professional assistance;<\/li>\n
  • determination of the fulfilment of conditions for granting authorisations for carrying out tasks in the area of metrology;<\/li>\n
  • maintenance of database of verified measuring instruments;<\/li>\n
  • implementation of information technologies in verification procedures;<\/li>\n
  • ensuring electronic communication and availability of data to applicants;<\/li>\n
  • preparation of professional bases for drafting the regulations in the area of metrology;<\/li>\n
  • preparation of studies, papers and analyses in the area of metrology;<\/li>\n
  • participation in the preparation of technical specifications for procurements;<\/li>\n
  • cooperation with service users in order to clarify their requests and meet their requirements;<\/li>\n
  • review of applications, offers and contracts;<\/li>\n
  • making sure that internal documents are implemented;<\/li>\n
  • making sure that regulations and international standards in place are implemented;<\/li>\n
  • carrying out tasks related to the establishment and maintenance of quality management systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
