mass performs activities related to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Realization, conservation, maintenance and improvement of the national standards in Montenegro;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring metrological traceability in the field of mass in Montenegro through the transfer of the mass unit from the national standard to the secondary and working mass standards;<\/li>\n<li>Development of the measuring methods for the transfer of the mass unit;<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of weights of accuracy classes E<sub>2<\/sub>, F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0and M<sub>2<\/sub>;<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of weights of free nominal masses that are not in accordance with the OIML R 111:2004;<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments;<\/li>\n<li>Participation in inter-laboratory comparisons;<\/li>\n<li>Laying down the prescribed technical and metrological requirements for determining the measuring instrument type for mass measuring instruments;<\/li>\n<li>Verification of weights of accuracy classes F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0and M<sub>2<\/sub>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul class=\"nav-tabs\"><li><a class=\"tab-link\" data-toggle=\"tab\" id=\"mobile-fusion-tab-nationalstandard\" href=\"#tab-64dad1d8054af76adca\"><h4 class=\"fusion-tab-heading\">NATIONAL STANDARD<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"tab-pane fade fusion-clearfix\" id=\"tab-64dad1d8054af76adca\">\n<h3>National Standard<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The national standard is represented by the sets of weights accuracy class E<sub>1<\/sub>, mass scale from 1mg to 20kg, i.e. standards of the finest metrological characteristics which serve as a basis for determining the value of all the other standards of measuring unit for mass. Weights of nominal mass from 1 mg to 500 mg are in the form of wire, weights of nominal mass of 1 g and larger and of greater nominal mass are in the form of a cylinder with grip handle. All weights are one piece construction \u2013 monobloc construction, made of high quality stainless steel. Characteristics of weights, in the terms of the measurement uncertainty, maximum permissible error, magnetic susceptibility and permeability, are within the limits of E<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0accuracy class weights, in accordance with the OIML R 111:2004 recommendation.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul class=\"nav-tabs\"><li><a class=\"tab-link\" data-toggle=\"tab\" id=\"mobile-fusion-tab-calibration\" href=\"#tab-3ef7dccc4c7e2e6636e\"><h4 class=\"fusion-tab-heading\">CALIBRATION<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"tab-pane fade fusion-clearfix\" id=\"tab-3ef7dccc4c7e2e6636e\">\n<h3>Calibration of Standards<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Accredited area:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>calibration of E<sub>2<\/sub>, F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0and M<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0accuracy class weights in the range from 1 mg to 10 kg;<\/li>\n<li>calibration of weights of free nominal masses whose shape and nominal mass are not in accordance with the OIML R 111:2004 recommendation, ranging from 1g to 50kg;<\/li>\n<li>calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments up to 2000kg, on-site, in accordance with EURAMET cg-18: Guidelines on the calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments v.4.0 (11\/2015).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Unaccredited area:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>calibration of E<sub>2<\/sub>, F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0and M<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0accuracy class weights of 20 kg nominal mass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul Instruments<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Laboratory for Mass carries out an examination of mass measuring instruments in order to determine compliance with the prescribed metrological requirements with the aim of verification of mass measuring instruments: accuracy class F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0i M<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0weights from 1 mg to 20 kg.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul class=\"nav-tabs\"><li><a class=\"tab-link\" data-toggle=\"tab\" id=\"mobile-fusion-tab-typeapproval\" href=\"#tab-09de4d1146e90ebe8a7\"><h4 class=\"fusion-tab-heading\">TYPE APPROVAL<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"tab-pane fade fusion-clearfix\" id=\"tab-09de4d1146e90ebe8a7\">\n<h3>Type Approval<\/h3>\n<p>In order to ascertain compliance with the prescribed technical and metrology demands, to determine type of measuring instrument, Laboratory for Mass conducts examination of type of further measuring instruments in the field of mass measuring in accordance with Decree on legal measuring instruments that are mandatory subjected to verification and\/or the type approval of the measuring instrument (Official Gazette of Republic of Montenegro, No. 81\/09):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>weights accuracy class F<sub>1<\/sub>, F<sub>2<\/sub>, M<sub>1<\/sub>\u00a0and M<sub>2<\/sub>;<\/li>\n<li>non-automatic weighing instruments of accuracy class (I), (II), (III), and (IV);<\/li>\n<li>automatic weighing instruments;<\/li>\n<li>electro-mechanical transducer for weighing instruments;<\/li>\n<li>electronic indicator for weighing instruments;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul class=\"nav-tabs\"><li><a class=\"tab-link\" data-toggle=\"tab\" id=\"mobile-fusion-tab-traceabilityscheme\" href=\"#tab-0c9f1275616d637e553\"><h4 class=\"fusion-tab-heading\">TRACEABILITY SCHEME<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"tab-pane fade fusion-clearfix\" id=\"tab-0c9f1275616d637e553\">\n<h3>Traceability Scheme<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Laboratory for Mass achieves metrological traceability through calibration of set of weights accuracy class E<sub>1<\/sub>, in the laboratories of the European national metrological institutes (NMI) or authorized institutes (Euramet Designated Institutes) that have published CMC at BIMP KCDB, or are accredited by an accreditation body signatory to the EA MLA agreement. Calibration of the set of weights accuracy class E<sub>1<\/sub>, is being conducted every second year alternating.
