Bureau of Metrology’s employees, Milena Raonić and Naina Čuturić Knežević on 29 March 2018 attended a seminar titled “How to Manage Risks in Laboratory, Certification and Inspection Body”, organized by the Association of Croatian Laboratories (CROLAB) in Zagreb.

The purpose of the event was to introduce the participants to the principles of risk management in accordance with the standard “HRN EN ISO 31000 Risk management – Principles and Guidelines”, as well as to help them acquire the new methods based on risk management in laboratories, inspection and certification bodies.

“Risk management is necessary in the daily work of conformity assessment bodies, in regular performance of calibrations, surveillance and certification offered on the market, in implementation of the quality policy and fulfillment of quality objectives, management of preventive and corrective actions, with a view to delivering high-quality services to the purchaser and achieving greater competitiveness of your company. The new standard HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 places special emphasis on risk management”, CROLAB said.

The seminar was intended for quality managers and representatives, internal auditors and staff from medical and calibration laboratories as well as for capability analysis organizers (HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025, HRN EN ISO/IEC 15189, HRN EN ISO/IEC 17043), quality managers and representatives, internal auditors and staff from inspection bodies (HRN EN ISO/IEC 17020), quality managers and representatives, internal auditors and staff from certification bodies (QMS, EMS,…) and staff (HRN EN ISO/IEC 1702-1, HRN EN ISO/IEC 17065, HRN EN ISO/IEC 17024), as well as quality managers and representatives, internal auditors and staff from the verification body for greenhouse gases (HRN EN ISO/IEC 14065).
