On 17 and 18 April 2018, sophomores from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF), Department for Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers and Department for Energetics and Automatics, visited the Bureau of Metrology.

ETF students were presented with the activities performed by the Bureau of Metrology, as well as the forthcoming redefinition of the International System of Units (SI).

The students visited national calibration laboratories in the field of metrology of mass, length, temperature, pressure, electrical quantities, volume, as well as time and frequency. In the Laboratory for Electrical Power, a segment of electricity meter verification procedure was presented.

On this occasion, around 60 students from the study program Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers and 70 students from the Department for Energetics and Automatics visited the laboratories of the Bureau of Metrology.

The visit to the Bureau’s laboratories was organized within the planned practical part of the subject of Electrical Measurements.

In April 2017, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Bureau of Metrology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. As a result, this is the second year that the students from this faculty have been provided with an opportunity to visit national calibration laboratories at the Bureau of Metrology.
