Independent Advisors from the Bureau of Metrology – Tamara Bošković Begenišić, Tatjana Raičević, Gordana Bajić and Anđelika Durutović paid a visit to the elementary school “21. maj ”in Podgorica and organized a practical chemistry lessson together with Ljiljana Ćetković, the teacher in that school.

The students of VII-b and V-a were presented with the activities of the Bureau of Metrology and numerous chemical experiments suitable for their age were carried out.

The students have had the opportunity to see the following experiments:  seven-layer density column,  magic water, chemical volcano, warm ice, chemical cut, magnetic separation, and the law of conservation of mass with the help of soda, acetic acid and balloons.

This activity is a continuation of successful cooperation with the school “21. maj”. The Bureau of Metrology organized in 2018 a quiz for 6th grade students “Why are measurements important?” as part of the Science Open Days festival.
