It is with great sadness that we say goodbye today to our colleague Zoran Ćetković, who tragically lost his life at the age of 57.

We deeply mourn the unexpected loss of our dear and well-respected Zoran.

Zoran has been part of the metrology community since 2003, when he was appointed assistant director of the then Institute for Measurements and Precious Metals, in former state Serbia and Montenegro. From July 2006, he was the head of international cooperation and development of metrology in Montenegro, and from July 2007, he became the assistant director of the Bureau of Metrology, where he remained until today. He was also the head of the Sector for verification of measuring instruments.

Zoran had more than twenty years of experience in metrology and had participated in numerous domestic and international trainings, seminars, workshops and committees in the field of metrology and quality, thus contributing to the development of our community. He published papers in domestic and international journals for quality.

In June 2012, he received the title of Master of Technical Sciences with a major in Quality from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Montenegro. In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split, Croatia.

As he himself liked to say, he was a fervent lover of nature, antiques, motorbikes and crafting one-of-a-kind handicrafts.

The team at the Bureau of Metrology is grateful for all the shared, enriching and unforgettable moments, his understanding, patience and always selfless support.

We are deeply pained by this huge and irreparable loss.
