On the occasion of the World Science Day, celebrated on 10 November, the Bureau of Metrology is organizing a photo contest for the students of all secondary schools in Montenegro. The theme of the contest is:
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.” – Albert Einstein
The aim of the contest is to incite creative thinking among the students. Through photography, the students will have an opportunity to artistically and authentically portray scientific notions and practices, innovation and technology, thus emphasizing the role of science in society and its development, as well as the significance of science in everyday life.
Students can participate in the contest by submitting an application form, downloaded from the website www.metrologija.me, along with one original photograph, to the email of the Bureau of Metrology: email@example.com.
Photographs must be submitted in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 10 megapixels. The selection of the best photographs will be made by expert jury on the basis of the main criteria of the contest: authenticity, relevance to the topic, aesthetic quality and other criteria defined by the jury.
The awards are given to the students, i.e. authors of the three best graded photographs. The first prize is a camera, the prize for second place is a bike and the third prize is a Polaroid camera.
The contest has been open since 10 September and it will close on 25 October 2019.
The winners will be announced on 1 November 2019 by posting the names of the awarded students on the website www.metrologija.me, as well as on the Bureau of Metrology’s social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter).
The awards ceremony, as well as an exhibition of the submitted photos, will be organized in mid-November.
